(Miami-AP) August 15, 2005 - For the Carolinas, it's good night, Irene. A slightly stronger Hurricane Irene is expected to continue spinning toward cooler waters in the north Atlantic. It's a Category One hurricane with top sustained winds of 85 miles per hour.

MIAMI A slightly stronger Hurricane Irene is expected to continue spinning toward cooler waters in the north Atlantic today. It's a Category One hurricane with top sustained winds of 85 miles per hour. According to the National Hurricane Center in Miami, Irene is moving northeast at 12 miles per hour.
